1.0 Practical
This is a fun activity demonstrated by Mr. Martin. He taught us how to animate photos in Photoshop.
Exercise 1
Step 1: Mask the girl out.
Step 2: Load selection, expand selection to avoid the selection be too close to the girl.
Step 3: Unselect the new layer and left the background layer.
Step 4: Convert both the layer (a clean background and girl) into Smart Project.
Step 5: Go to timeline to animate.
Step 6: Resize the photo to make it smaller by pinning the middle of the photo, but maintain the aspect ratio. (Shift + Alternate)
Step 7: Resize the background to make it bigger.
Step 8: Render
Exercise 2
Step 1: Mask out the surfer boy.
Step 2: Load selection, expand selection to avoid the selection be too close to the surfer boy.
Step 3: Fill content aware.
Step 4: Create two layers, a clean background and surfer boy.
Step 5: Windows > Timeline
Step 6: Resize the surfer boy to make it bigger. Rotate clockwise to change his position.
Step 7: Increase the size and rotate counterclockwise for the background.
Step 8: Render
Exercise 3
Step 1: Mask out the yoga girl.
Step 2: Load selection, expand selection to avoid the selection be too close to the surfer boy.
Step 3: Fill content aware.
Step 4: Create two layers, a clean background and yoga girl.
Step 5: Duplicate the yoga girl layer to create GIF.
Step 6: Animate using frame mode. Change the timeline to 0.5 seconds.
Step 7: Duplicate the set of layers collection. For layer 1, off the yoga layer 2. As for layer 2, off the yoga layer 1.
Step 8: Use Puppet Warp setting to edit layer 2.
Step 9: Create the joint and backbone for the Puppet Warp.
Step 10: Export for Web > Select GIF > Loop Option > Forever > Save
2.0 Lecture
Mr. Fauzi did his last consultation with us for Project 4. He mentioned that consultation is very important and he would like students who haven't consult to consult before they proceed with their work. He wants us to make improvement before handing in our final work.
He dismissed those who already submitted their work or already have their feedback.
3.0 Tutorial
Project 4 is submitted in Week 12.
